Some vehicles undergo minor upgrades each year, making the model very similar to the previous year’s iteration. The 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a different story. It’s undergone a full design revolution to make it bolder and better than ever before. Let’s take a look at some of its best features right here before you swing by your local Hyundai dealer to see it in person.

Top Notch Safety

The 2023 Tucson Hybrid’s safety is best-in-class. Its driver assistance features and safety package go all out to make you more secure than ever while behind the wheel or riding as a passenger. One of the most innovative features is the center-row side airbag to prevent front-seat passengers from colliding with each other in the event of an accident.

Meanwhile, some of the most useful safety features in the vehicle include:

  • Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Junction Turning
  • Highway Drive Assist
  • Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control
  • Remote Smart Park Assist

Cutting-Edge Connectivity

Hyundai describes the Tucson Hybrid’s connectivity as cutting-edge, and that’s an accurate term for it. The 10.25-inch center touchscreen is laid out well with easily identifiable icons and clear text. Every function is entirely touch-based, so there are no tricky buttons to reach for or knobs to turn. Meanwhile, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster adds the same ease of use and convenience to your cockpit.

If you don’t want to take your hands off the wheel while driving, then the enhanced voice recognition will help you access useful features of the infotainment system. Features you can access via voice controls include turning on the heated steering wheel function and opening the tailgate.

Ultimate Comfort

Hyundai has done everything possible to ensure a comfortable experience for the driver and all the passengers in the Tucson Hybrid. The battery is stored under the second-row seating, but the battery has a compact design to provide as much legroom as you’d have in a regular spacious combustion engine vehicle. Meanwhile, at the touch of a button, you can slide and recline the front passenger seat for ease of entering the vehicle.

The rear seats fold in a 40:20:40 ratio for convenience. Finally, all passengers will be able to bask in the temperature of their choosing thanks to Multi-Air Mode. The air blows gently across the three zones the climate control offers.

Additional Child Safety

Several features are designed to make your children safer on every journey. Safety features to help take care of your kids include Safe Exit Warning and Rear Occupant Alert.

While the Hyundai new vehicle limited warranty is one of the most generous factory warranties on the market, many owners may want to extend warranty protection. After the limited warranty, which lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, Hyundai owners can opt for extended warranty coverage when they purchase a vehicle at a Hyundai dealer.

For Hyundai, all the long-term warranty plans are called Hyundai Protection Plan Vehicle Service Contracts. Each of these protection plans is designed to last for 100,000 miles or up to 10 years, whichever comes first. There are three tiers to choose from, so you can customize the protection you want for covered mechanical breakdowns.

Powertrain

If you want basic long-term coverage for your powertrain, this tier may be the best fit. The Powertrain plan will cover most components of the engine, transmission, and drive axle, which can significantly cut down on repair costs for some of the most expensive parts of your vehicle.

Gold

The second tier is the Gold plan, which covers all the components included in the Powertrain plan in addition to components like the front and rear suspension, shocks, climate control system, fuel system, and electrical system.

Platinum

The top-tier protection plan offers the most comprehensive coverage, similar to the bumper-to-bumper coverage offered by the limited factory warranty. Along with all the components covered by the Gold plan, components such as the brakes, steering, CV boots, navigation, audio system, and high-tech features are also covered by the Platinum plan.

What Are Protection Plan Perks?

In addition to the 10-year coverage for each of these protection plans, each of these protection plans includes perks to give drivers peace of mind. Drivers will be able to access nationwide service at participating dealerships, along with towing services to an authorized service provider, and 24-hour roadside assistance. Drivers will also be reimbursed for trip interruption for up to five days and rental cars for up to 10 days while the covered vehicle is being repaired.

Can Your Hyundai Dealer Help You Decide Which Plan Is Best for You?

If you can’t decide which protection plan is best for you, your local dealership may be able to help. In general, the best time to sign up for extended protection is when you purchase your new or certified pre-owned Hyundai. The plan that is best for you will depend on your driving style and the repairs you can expect to have. If you know you have a tendency to wear out your battery or your brakes, it’s best to opt for a protection plan to cover these components.

Whether you want basic protection from the Powertrain plan or comprehensive coverage from the Platinum plan, protection plans can extend your warranty coverage and reduce repair costs. To learn more about how to sign up for these protection plans, contact Crain Hyundai of North Little Rock.

Rear angle view of a red 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid driving along a scenic highway at sunset

Hyundai, a car manufacturer from Japan, has built an excellent reputation over the last decade in the United States as being a reliable, budget-friendly brand that delivers on quality. This is evident in their new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid for 2023. This amazing vehicle attracts many people to their local Hyundai dealer; here are a few key features.

1. Hyundai Digital Key

Either as a sedan or hatchback, the new Sonata Hybrid from Hyundai offers its owners a handy digital key feature. Powered by the Hyundai app, you can replace a traditional key with your phone, making it easier to unlock and start your new Sonata. This technology makes it much harder to lose your keys and improves the ease of use.

In addition to this basic functionality, the digital key allows you to save your settings and specifications. Every time you unlock and start your car with the digital key, your seating, mirror, and steering wheel settings will change automatically. This is perfect if you have multiple drivers for one vehicle, as you won’t have to readjust your settings each time you get in the car.

2. Regenerative Braking

Regenerative braking isn’t anything new in terms of hybrid technology; however, this model uses the concept to improve its mileage performance. When you brake in a hybrid Hyundai Sonata, the energy exerted will be converted into electric power to charge the battery. This helps you go further and improves your fuel economy.

Using both gas and electric power, this hybrid model has better mileage output than many gas-only vehicles, making it an excellent choice. Overall, you can get an impressive 47 MPG on various roads, primarily thanks to the car’s regenerative braking. Fuel efficiency is a great car feature, and you can get multiple high-mileage vehicles from Crain Hyundai North Little Rock, including the Hyundai Elantra.

3. Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

Ideal for those making long highway trips frequently, the new Sonata Hybrid uses sophisticated cruise control technology to make driving easier and safer. With the technology, you can set the speed you want to maintain. In addition, the system will use radar to ensure you keep a safe distance from any vehicles ahead of you.

This system is impressive because it can also automatically slow the vehicle to a complete stop for you if needed. It will also reactivate if the car in front pulls away within three seconds. This feature can make highway driving easy, simple, and much safer; just ensure you’re still fully attentive on the road.

The new Hybrid Sonata is a great vehicle, and its many features make it a great option no matter where you live. Visit Crain Hyundai North Little Rock today to get started.

Worn or damaged brake pads make driving more difficult and increase the chances of an accident. The pads are responsible for generating the friction that brings your wheels to a stop. They slowly wear out as time passes, and your Hyundai dealer can install new ones for you when the time comes. These are some signs that your pads need replacement.

Brake Warning Light

Your car has two brake warning lights. One light represents the ABS and the other represents the braking system. The ABS light applies only to problems in the ABS itself, while the brake warning light applies to any problem with the brakes, including the handbrake. The light is connected to sensors attached to the essential parts of your braking system, including the pads, calipers, and the brake master cylinder.

If your pads become too thin and worn, your braking system will take longer to engage than it should. Worn pads can’t generate sufficient friction to allow your brakes to work as quickly as they’re designed to. We recommend calling us if your brake warning light illuminates so our Hyundai-trained technicians can investigate and fix the problem.

High-Pitched Screeching

A screeching noise when you step on the brakes is usually a sign that your pads are worn and need replacement. A small amount of the friction material covering the pads wears off each time you apply the brakes. Once the material covering has been reduced to 1/4″ thickness, the pads are due for replacement. Pad manufacturers install a warning device in each pad to remind you when they need to be changed.

The less-than-subtle reminder is a metal spike. This spike becomes visible once a pad reaches its replacement time. The next you apply the brakes, the spike will scratch against the rotor and produce a high-pitched screeching sound. The spike doesn’t damage the rotor, but it is a sign that you need to visit us for new pads ASAP.

Your Pads Look Thin

If you kneel beside a wheel and look between the spokes, you can see several parts of the braking system, including the calipers, rotors, and brake hoses. Using a flashlight, you’ll be able to see the pads housed inside the brake calipers. A new pad has a 1/2″ thick material covering. If you notice any pads that seem to be too thin, it could be time for replacements.

We can easily remove the wheels to check your diagnosis. If the pads are damaged, we can replace them for you while you wait.

Replacing pads is very inexpensive, and new pads will give you the peace of mind of knowing that your brakes will work speedily and efficiently again. Call our service department today at Crain Hyundai of North Little Rock.

Electricity enables your engine to start, keeps your car’s computer working, and even enables your windshield wipers to work. Over time electrical problems can develop for a variety of reasons, including worn terminals, rusted grounding connections, and blown fuses. As your Hyundai dealer, we can fix any of these problems for you. These are some of the issues that we can repair.

Grounding Problems

Grounding is important for any electricity currant, as it provides a safe way to remove stray voltage from the system. A lack of grounding can lead to power surges or damage to electrical systems. The grounding in your car starts from the negative terminal in the battery and then flows through the body of your car, the engine, and the transmission.

A grounding problem can develop in numerous ways, including a rusted washer or a slightly loose connection. This type of problem will become obvious due to random problems in the electrical system. Our technicians can easily trace the grounding problem by following the flow of electricity through your car. Once we’ve identified the source of the grounding issue, we can resolve it.

Blown Fuses

All electrical systems have fuses, and these fuses help to protect the component they’re attached to from power spikes and surges. If a power surge occurs, the electric current will strike the fuse first, which causes the fuse to blow. A blown fuse will prevent electricity from passing through to the component, but it will also switch off that component until the fuse is replaced.

Blown fuses can range from a minor issue like the radio refusing to switch on to an alternator failure that prevents the battery from charging. Fuses are easy to replace, and the component they’re connected to will work again. We’ll test your fuses to identify the blown ones and replace them.

Dead Battery

When most drivers think of an electrical problem, battery issues are usually top of the list. The battery is responsible for providing the electrical charge that starts your car. If your battery fails, the only way to start your car is to replace the battery or jump-start it as a temporary solution. A battery can fail due to age, but it can also fail due to a damaged alternator, loose connections, or other electrical issues.

We can test the connections to the battery, and often a loose battery cable can be the cause of the problem. If the battery itself is damaged, we can speedily install a new one to fix this problem.

If you’re experiencing any problems with your Car’s electrical system, call our service department right away at Crain Hyundai of North Little Rock.
