We proudly recommend the Accent to our customers here at Crain Hyundai of North Little Rock because of its many advantages.

Getting to Know the 2022 Hyundai Accent

The Hyundai Accent is a subcompact sedan, which is the smallest type of compact sedan available. It is available in three trim levels: the base SE, SEL, and Limited. This vehicle is ideal for individuals who mainly use it for commuting to work and for pleasure, or for couples transitioning into family life.

Engine and Transmission Performance

All models of the Hyundai Accent come standard with a 2.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 120 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque, making it perfect for casual driving. You can choose between a CVT automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission, both of which are paired with a front-wheel-drive configuration for all models. It achieves a great fuel economy rating of 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.

Technology

The base SE model of the Hyundai Accent comes standard with a 5.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a single USB port, and a four-speaker audio system. The SEL and Limited trims come with a larger 7.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a second USB port on the center console, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system. You can also upgrade to get dual USB charge ports.

Safety Ratings and Features

The Hyundai Accent received a good four-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. They achieved five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover and front crash tests. Drivers can upgrade to get active safety features like forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking.

What’s New for 2022

Because the Accent already has many excellent features that make it a joy to drive, there weren’t many new updates needed for this year’s lineup. To enhance safety, all models of the Accent now come standard with an immobilizer. This cutting-edge electronic anti-theft system transmits an electric code to your vehicle when a key is inserted into the ignition switch or a Smart Key fob is brought into the vehicle. If it does not recognize the key, your engine will not start.

The Hyundai Accent is one of the top subcompact sedans on the market for good reason. It is pleasurable to drive thanks to its smooth powertrain system, features excellent technology with plentiful upgrades, and has good safety ratings and safety features.
