2023 Hyundai Palisade

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade features five trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The SE, SEL, and Limited have six available exterior colors with a black interior, while the XRT features three with a black interior. The Calligraphy trim level has seven exterior colors with the choice of black or beige leather interiors.

Only one engine is available for the 2023 Hyundai Palisade in the form of a 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V-6 paired with an eight-speed automatic using Hyundai's SHIFTRONIC technology. It achieves gas mileage of 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. The valve train features a 24-valve, dual constant variable valve timing (Atkinson cycle) and gasoline direct injection for maximum fuel efficiency. An idle stop-and-go turns off the engine when stopped at a stop light, then turns it back on when pressing the accelerator.

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade comes in a front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive option on all trim levels. It features a shift-by-wire selectable drive mode for smooth transitions when putting the shift knob into gear. A transmission cooler is standard at all trim levels, and the car can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds with a trailer brake, and 1,650 pounds without a trailer brake. Tow mode is available on all-wheel-drive models only. Eighteen-inch tires with alloy wheels come as standard on the SE and SEL, but 20-inch tires are standard on the XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy trims.

The driver and passenger seat of the Hyundai Palisade features seats that cradle the occupants and a center console with ergonomic design details. It features a 12.3-inch infotainment system with navigation, tactile knobs and switches for controlling various aspects of the car, and a shift dial to park or put the Palisade into gear. Technology features include a Wi-Fi hot spot, proximity key with push-button start, 4.2-inch color display in the instrument cluster, auto-up/down windows, multi-device connection, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and USB outlets in the front and rear rows.

The Palisade comes standard with traditional safety features that include front air bags for driver and passenger, side curtain air bags, tire pressure monitoring system, rear child safety locks, and rearview mirror with parking guidance. Other driver-assistive technologies include blind spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, and safe exit assist. Parking distance warning when in reverse is standard, but parking distance warning moving forward is only available on a premium package.
